A Glazing Day
I had four pieces glazed today:
- A cylinder in chun blue and mother of pearl (demo piece by the teacher),
- Another cylinder in golden hare fur (inside) and olive green A (outside)
- A keepsake box in texture blue, and
- A jar in shino white (inside) and rust green (outside)
My choice of colours was dictated by which bins of glaze were deep enough to dip my pieces. I'd wanted to put celadon on the jar, but gave up stirring this glaze because it was so thick at the bottom.
The pieces should be ready next week.

Yellow Mug
My First Piece
This is the first piece of pottery I made. It's a little hand pinched cup, glazed in iron brown and namoku blue.
